Every Friday, no matter what the circumstances, I call it Fabulous Friday. Why? Pick a reason! We made it through the work week. We woke up to see another day. We are sooo close to the weekend and hopefully a little R&R. The list goes on. Its Friday…Fabulous!
Have I Picked My Afro? No, not even close. I’d be happy to say that picking my afro this week will entail lots of sleep! But I know I can’t quite get away with that; the PYAF followers would have my head (Erica!) I am going to pick it this weekend though, it’s already planned. I have some exclusive Me Time planned for Sunday afternoon and I’m going to go lie out in the sun, read a book, turn on the iPod and just zone out. Ahhhh, I can see it, I can feel it, I can almost touch it!
What do you have planned for this Mother’s Day weekend? Are you planning to pick your afro on Sunday? If you’re not a Mom, are you planning to help a mom Pick Her Afro? Mom’s needs need to keep their afro’s fly too ya know!

I picked my fro this whole weekend. I feel so relaxed and ready for the work week.
I did, I did. it was actually on Saturday instead of Sunday as I planned but I sat still and just read for a little while and made myself appreciate sitting still instead of thinking about the things I could be doing.

I didn’t pick my Afro this weekend but I was VERY pleased that mom did. She got a manicure/pedicure/and her eyebrows arched… something I take for granted as a bi-weekly ritual she only does a few times a year. So I was very pleased to see she got herself jazzed up.
That’s awesome to hear, she needs some time to feel jazzy too!
