mainelement: love will be launching a brand new line of lip balms in upcoming weeks. How would you like to establish our new flavors? Tell me, what flavor would YOU like to see us create? Is it a taste that takes you back to your first kiss? Is it the smell of your favorite dessert grandma used to make? Is it the flavor that your hubby just finds irresistible? Whatever the flavor, you are free to suggest anything your heart’s desire.

I will then choose a top 10 list of most inventive, inspiring, delicious sounding scents and hold a poll from 9/24 – 9/30 10/2 – 10/9 for everyone to cast their vote on the top 5. Those five will be my new scents to be released in plenty of time for the holidays. Those whose flavors have been selected will receive one of each of the 5 new flavors for their own delicious collection.

I think you should do a lip balm that mirrors cupcake flavors or cookie flavors. A cookie line could be chocolate chip, sugar, peanut butter and oatmeal raisin. I think those would be wonderful for tinted lip glosses as well. I would buy all three of those. A cupcake lip balm line would be nice too – chocolate, almond, red velvet, vanilla, etc.
Okay, my entry is just a list of ideas/thoughts. I am a baker and its clearly influencing my posts. Pick what’s useful!
Peanut butter/chocolate….banana creme pie and cheese pizza.
Caribbean breeze – Reminds me of being on vacation and my years growing up in St. Kitts. Would be great if I could get that scent everyday. It’s a very clean and light scent (salt water and freshly baked bread).
Sugar City – Very sweet scent (sugar cane flavor). I love sugar cane.
Chocolate/PB – Keeses (instead of reeses)
Berry flavor for the holidays – very merry berry
Bacon – makin’ bacon!
Peach – Georgia on my mind
And how about an unflavored one – necessesities only, or clean beak, or soft and quiet
WOW! I love Kamasha’s suggestions! I would buy it.
Here are my ideas. Do something fun and fruity…Mango, Strawbery, Coconut Lime, Passionfruit. Marketable to both the “Young and Innocent” and the “Grown and Sexy”
BTW, I love the packaging pictured above.
I’d like something like:
Chocolate Covered Cherries – this would be a romantic flavor for valentine’s day.
Candy Cane – a peppermint that makes the lips tingle and makes the lips of whomever you kiss tingle.
Birthday Cake – something sweet and light and smells yummy to remind us that anyday can be your birthday – and hey…dessert doesn’t always have to be with a meal.
Blueberry Pie – I like blueberries and I’ve never seen a blueberry flavored lip balm. I’d want to try it just to see how it tastes!
Apple Martini – This can be a green apple with a tinge of “martini” flavoring (I don’t know how that would manifest itself!). But it reminds me of something fun and tasty.
