The Ultimate Blog Party is Kicking Off Today

Really! No exaggeration! The ULTIMATE!
Ultimate Blog Party 2010

Yes, ultimate is a pretty strong word, but just hear me out here.  The Ultimate Blog Party is one of the biggest blogger connection celebrations on the net.  Hosted by 5 Minutes for Mom, this extravagant week long event is intended to celebrate life, love, and the abundance of relationships that are waiting be made with someone as close as next door or as far as the other side of the world. Giveaways are being hosted by well over 100 bloggers and businesses (of course including yours truly)  as a prat of the celebration.  This is an opportunity to connect, grow and share with other moms, bloggers, and if you so choose, businesses..oh and did I mention the giveaways.

For those of who who already know me and Love me, skip down to the bottom of the page to see where I’ll be and when, then head on over and register for a giveaway or 100.  For those of you visiting for the first time from the party itself: Hiiiiii *waving frantically* I’m  really glad you dropped in.  Get comfortable, kick your shoes off and hang out for a bit.

As the jill of all trades behind mainelement: love, I Love having new readers to enlighten about the natural bath and beauty world and how you can, should, and MUST take time to pamper yourself: Spa at Home!.  A bit about me: I’m a newlywed, recently married my best friend of 12 years and the Love of my life.  I have a 10 year old son and a 12 year old daughter who have everything and nothing an common…entertaining to put it mildly.  A native New Yorker (upstate, NOT NYC), my heart lives in Atlanta, but my wallet likes our home here in Houston.  I’m an introverted extrovert which in laymens terms mean I’m rather social, yet more of a listener than a talker unless I have something to say, then I can talk you to death. I’m also a massage therapist in training (yes my husband is behind me 200% on this for his own very selfish reasons)

Let’s see, three quick things I insist you know right now:

I’ll be on the party chat tonight at 9PM EST on the 5 Minutes for Mom site and you are more than welcomed to come join in the fun.  I will likely be on the Twitter chat on Monday at 10 PM EST as well because I have this off and on addiction to Twitter so I likely won’t be able to help myself.

It’s a party and you are welcome!

It’s been a whirlwind two weeks for me.  My hubby’s birthday, our wedding, my birthday, and Valentine’s Day all in a 2 week span. And I’m keeping the celebration rolling right into this week over at Mommy Market blog where mainelement: love is participating in the Etsyt blog party.

Contest: Spa at Home Ritual

We’re always excited about sharing the latest info, news and tips on natural spa products and techniques to our readers. We’re even more excited about the wonderful feedback from our readers…so excited that we’re sponsoring a contest for our blog readers to post their favorite “at home” spa ritual and experience, to win a mainelement: love spa basket worth over $100.

The contest will run from January 20th to February 12th, 2010, with the winner being announced on February 19th.

Here’s all you need to know and enter:

  • Subscribe to our blog via RSS or email (see the right side bar)
  • Email your favorite “at home” spa ritual including the products and/or ingredients you use and the steps to make them, and the cost to create this contest to tyrika@mainelementlove.com using “Spa at home ritual” in your subject header
  • Include the natural health benefits of your spa experience and how it relaxes and calms you
  • At the end of the contest period, the staff of mainelement: love will read and select the post with the best “at home” spa experience and ritual  using natural products and/or ingredients that are most cost effective

The winner of the contest will receive a mainelement:love spa basket(filled with the entire le’amour body line in Rise and Shine or Lavender Vanilla, a journal, box of chamomile tea, ceramic mug, and spa socks), and their ritual will be featured on the Love: Blog

All the entries are in and have been narrowed down to the top ten.  So now the rest is up to you!  Please take a moment and select your favorite five delicious flavors.  The five with the most votes will be the first five flavors in mainelement: love’s new lip balm line.

Cast your vote between today and October 9th at midnight CST.  The winning flavors will be announced on Oct 15th.  Devilishly delicious lips are just a few weeks away!

Contest – What’s Your Flavor?

mainelement: love will be launching a brand new line of lip balms in upcoming weeks.  How would you like to establish our new flavors? Tell me, what flavor would YOU like to see us create? Is it a taste that takes you back to your first kiss? Is it the smell of your favorite dessert grandma used to make? Is it the flavor that your hubby just finds irresistible? Whatever the flavor, you are free to suggest anything your heart’s desire.

Here are the rules.  Leave a comment on this post with the following:

  • Name of the flavor and a description – the more detail the better
  • Share why this flavor has a meaning

That’s it! That’s all, so easy, so fun!  Leave your comments between today and 9/23 ***Update: due to overwhelming interest, the entry date has been extended to 9/30!***. I will then choose a top 10 list of most inventive, inspiring, delicious sounding scents and hold a poll from 9/24 – 9/30 10/2 – 10/9 for everyone to cast their vote on the top 5.  Those five will be my new scents to be released in plenty of time for the holidays.  Those whose flavors have been selected will receive one of each of the 5 new flavors for their own delicious collection.
