With the world economy frantically falling into a tailspin, finances being the leading cause of divorce, money woes between couples have the potential to reach an all time high.
Dr Ian Kerner shared with MSN six tips to keep the fire going in your relationship during the insanity of our economic state. His number one suggestion – have more sex! Sex is the ultimate bond between couples, so make grand use of it. Have sex, make love, do the horizontal tango, call it whatever you like, just make sure you are doing it. Take a look at the other five tips too.
- Don’t stop investing in your relationship
- Unplug the feed
- Build a reserve of desire
- Don’t let your ‘interest rate’ in your partner go from positive to negative
- Watch out for a serious dip in your ‘passion portfolio’
Now go forth and multiply! Happy loving!

Whew! It’s Friday already?! The week has blown by before I could even look up. I don’t know about you, but it was a rough one for me, and today is no exception. I’m looking back into the week trying to figure out ‘Have I done anything for myself this week? Anything at all?’ I haven’t.
But that doesn’t mean it’s too late to Pick My Afro, after all the day just started. So I’m working on correcting that as we speak. I’m heading straight over to my absolute favorite radio blogger ever @ejflavors. He does an Old School Wednesday mix pretty much every week and this week’s mix is one of my favorites. It’s not one of those soothering, relaxing mixes, it’s more what I would call a ‘perfectly nostalgic blend’ of Earth Wind and Fire, Steely Dan, Kool and the Gang, the list goes on. Go on and check it out. Then check out the rest of his site. And please don’t blame me for your addiction to anything and everything EJ comes out with…lol
Have you Picked Your Afro this week? Have you faced a challenging week this week and still managed to do something for yourself? Inspire us with how to find a glimmer of joy though adversity.
